Surely we now have the proof that those bookies have moved from cricket to Championship Rugby League? Sheffield get hammered at home by Halifax, then score 60 at Fev. I find it hard to believe anyone in our league could do that at POR. Then again maybe they had one eye on next weeks match against Cas? If so its a pity we didn't play them this week.

I hope you aren't suggesting that the game was in any way fixed because that is a serious allegation.Surely we now have the proof that those bookies have moved from cricket to Championship Rugby League? Fev were poor, Sheffield took advantage as simple as that.Neither defence will win awards for yesterday's performance and we made errors that gave them at least 4 intercepts/breakaway tries.Even when we pulled it back from 22-44 to 40-44 and looked like dominating until the end of the game we came up with silly errors to let them extend their lead.
As for having an eye on next week, if that is the case that players were in that mindset then I would drop them, as simple as that.It was one of those days i'm afraid but doesn't it make the comp more interesting this season?

Of course I wouldn't claim the match was fixed. We all know a team can loose by nearly 50 points one week and then put 60 past the best team in the league the next. That's why we love this game so much........interesting to here that Fev were poor though. As you say it can't be that they had one eye on next week. Guess I'm just jealous they didn't have their poor game against us

We haven't really played as well as we did last year so far this season, we have lost some very good players in Tonks, Divorty and Cockayne and are struggling to find top form.
We did grind out results against you lot and Keighly away which is looking like a very good result given their current form.
It makes the season more interesting and at the end of the day it's not life and death just rugby.
As for your comment on spread betting i thought you might be kidding but it's not something we want to see in our sport and I would hope that we never will.

Daft as it sounds losing 14-44 we almost nicked it!! Sheffield were blowing out of their bottys when Sam had a 1:1 ball nicked from him. Even trailing 40-50 we were still in it then gifted then nos 4 & 5 interception tries of the afternoon!!
One of the most bizarre games I've ever seen in my life. Surreal. Comedic at times.
I know it sounds daft - conceding 60 and saying "we could have won"!! But if you were one of the 2293 at Post Office Rd yesterday, you'd understand.
This week Daryl will be mostly kicking @r_ses!!!!
