York Ladies are the CHAMPIONS of the WARLA Challenge Cup Plate defeating Huddersfield Ladies 54-4 this Afternoon at Rochdale Mayfield A.R.L.C

Congratulations!! Don't suppose you have a fullback, two wingers, two centres, one stand off, one scrum half, two props, one hooker, two second rowers, one loose forward and four substitutes going spare?

York Ladies won their first ever silverware after defeating Huddersfield Ladies 54-4 at Rochdale Mayfield A.R.L.C. in the WARLA Challenge Cup Plate Final.
York took the lead after 4 minutes with Second Rower Kay Rollinson powering over from close range which she converted.
Huddersfield hit back to narrow the gap with an unconverted try in the corner but York responded with Rollinson crossing for her second in similar style to her first and she converted.
York added to their lead with quick passing to the left hand side saw space for Centre Sam Boyes to cross for an unconverted try.
York furthered their lead when Boyes grubbered a kick through with Half Back Mary Tiplady first to the ball to score with Boyes adding the extras.
York added to their lead 7 minutes before the break with Sub Bev Langan breaking the defensive line to score an unconverted try to give York a 26-4 half time lead.
York started the Second half brightly with Sub Teri Chu running from dummy half and managing to ground the ball with the attention of 3 Huddersfield defenders converted by Rollinson.
York added to their lead with Rollinson kicking a high kick causing Huddersfield problems with Full Back Natalie Marsland first to the bouncing ball to score an unconverted try.
York crossed again with Hooker Katie Langan receiving an offload and powered over with Rollinson converting to give York a 42-4 lead after 50 minutes.
York furthered their advantage midway through the half after a pass inside gave space for Sub Langan crossing for her second converted by Rollinson.
York sealed victory 10 minutes from time with Stand off Emilie Hatfield breaking the defensive line and racing 60 meters to score with Rollinson adding her 6th conversion of the match.
Coach Phil Johnson said ‘I’m extremely proud of the team’s performance 1 to 17.
Player of the Match was Second Rower Rollinson.
