Walney 14 - Ulverston 28 (ht 4-10)

A strong Ulverston side went through to the top four final with a deserved win at Walney last night. The opening 40 mins was tight although Walney's discipline let them down at times. In the second half Ulverston scored a further 3 tries before Walney replied with 2 of thier own late on.

I reckon they had 4/5 'first team' players in last night, mind you with them dropping out of their league they may not have played enough games to be classed as first teamers.

Ulverston didnt declare any 'first team' players or U18 on the teamsheet as they should have done.

I reckon that the following would be classed as first teamers

Gregga
Liam Saunders
Scott Houston
Steve o'connor
Liam High

Please correct me if I'm wrong then we can put it to bed.

Gregga works away now mate, he's away a month at a time, don't think he's played any first team games this season. Liam Saunders is still classed as an under 18 i think. And Liam Highs had a year out cause he had a shoulder reconstruction at Xmas and didnt play any game before that, he's just started playing again in the last few weeks, ready for Summer League starting. Me and Steve-O are though.

This along with the fact that no "original A teamer" (and by that I mean a player who played at the start of the season) was left out to accomodate any of the above mentioned players. Put to bed I would say?

Thats true, i wish there were some other original a teamers there, i'd happily have sat out the way i was feeling haha
I always think this is pretty disrespectful to supposed a team players anyway, there's a lot of quality players in our a team, only reason they don't play 1st team is cause they don't want to or can't travel.
