Reportedly Mike Morrison suffered a damaged collar bone against Leigh on Good Friday.

I suspect the injury was picked up in the very early exchanges, in a tackle on the Leigh line which clearly left him feeling rough.

Yet he waved away treatment and just carried on.

Reminds me of the saying; "Footballers spend 90 minutes pretending that they're injured, Rugby League players spend 80 minutes pretending that they aren't".

Probably the most extreme case I've ever seen was Shaun Edwards with a broken eye socket at Wembley - he looked like the elephant man by the time he went off. His explanation afterwards was that he didn't want the opposition (think it was Warrington) to know he'd been hurt.

You don't have to be mad to play, but it helps....

Rugby League - great game, shame about the administration.

Just goes to show that players do care and give 100% week in week out.
Dont worry, it will soon be Christmas!

Mike picked up a few similar injuries at Leigh. If his frame was as big as his heart, he wouldn't suffer as many knocks. Adam Higson is another who plays at 100% and suffers the consequences at times. Hope they are both fit and back in action very soon.
