After Sunday i am lot more confident, its going to be a massive ask for the lads to back up that performance against York this weekend, but Batley arnt breaking any pots at the minute, and if we can get our forwards to lead from the front again i think we could run them very close if not sneak it! Whatever happens Batley will know they have been in a tough cup tie!
Hunslet 18 - 16 Batley

Will be a big ask for the Hawks to beat the Bulldogs, but good luck and after the Knights beat the Eagles, you never know what the draw will be

Depends on injuries to be honest. I am going for a batley win.

We'll be second favourites by a few points but not without a chance - in fact I fancy us a bit more now than when the draw was made, what with a decent effort last week and Batley seemingly a bit off-colour lately.
However a repeat of last Sunday will most likely not be good enough - we bombed at least three chances which we can't afford to do this week. We also can't depend as much on defending on and around the goal line - if Batley get as much time in our 20 as York did, I suspect they'll come up with more than 6 points.
Will be an interesting team selection if a couple of the long-term injuries have cleared up, as was being banded about last week.
Reckon it will be a close game - just a bit worried that Batley are usually pretty good at winning close games !!

Put my thoughts about the game on the thread on our forum, but not sure you'd be as worried HWB if you saw our games against Keighley and Swinton
Be nice to win a game clearly but not particularly confident that will happen anytime soon. Saying that we do go to York a week on Sunday
Although after what happened there last season i'd take a 1 point win!

I am going off paper and squads that's all.Barry and Daz predict Batley so a win for Hunslet and if we play like we did against York why not.
I will be at Hampden for the semi final so it don't really bother me what score it is.

True - but then I look at Batley's results this season v Dewsbury and at Leigh, and Keighley in the NRC, and note you're still edging the "close ones", 3-2 !!
... and then I think back to both last season's games at SLS ... and the last meeting in the Challenge Cup ...
The last time Hunslet beat Batley was in 2007, in a Northern Rail Group game up at the Mount. It was another close game, 18-16. Most people seem to be anticipating yet another tight one again on Sunday. Maybe the law of averages suggests our turn has come round again ... ??

Weve got to stop Ben Black to have a decent chance imo, also rate this new kid Walmsley very highly.
Weve been very shrewd signing Walmsley on a 2 year deal as that lad will go all the way.got absolutely everything.
Gong to be a tough game though. If we click we'll give someone a good hiding but don't think we are quite there to do that just yet.
No more than 10 points in it either way. Looking forward to it

If it means anything, ive been asked to cover this game before higher profile games because the "pundits/those in the know" seem to think it will be a very close and competitive game.

Can't wait for the game now, Dennis tuffour is a loss, but I'm hoping we can still put in a performance and sneak a win! Taking my daughter to her first ever game so let's hope she can bring us some luck!!
