10 years ago professional rugby league ceased to exist due to the apathy of the fans who stopped supporting due to poor results. A few of us got off our backsides and worked to establish York City Knights. Now after a poor start to the season those of us who still work raising money for the development of the club are labelled the "rose tinted brigade" If the moaners put as much effort into supporting the club instead of moaning we would be top of super league.
Every time we get beat I am gutted, probably more than anyone else, but I will still be there at 10 am on Sunday getting set up for the game against Sheffield. I will be running the race night at Cue Ball on Saturday Night and again at Huntington Sports Club the following Saturday. Raising money for OUR club.
What will you be doing ??

Is the PA fixed yet? I'm buggered if I'm spending £16 to listen to that again.

Not sure what you are hoping to achieve with this post Gary, you may be risking alienating more fans but I guess from its tone that you are so ###### off you dont care?
The above highlighted line may take some explaining to some people.
My philosophy about supporting York RL, for what its worth,is a simple one. I dont personally give a flying fukc what fans think, say or do during or after matches AS LONG AS THEY TURN UP.
To answer your question, its up to other fans to tell you what, if they wish, they will be doing. As for me, its nobody elses bloody business.
Please keep up the good work, I know that all fans of the Knights appreciate it regardless of differing opinions about how one should support ones club.

Good reply Peter.... yes I moan, yes I rant and rave but for the last 30 years I have been to virtually all matches home and away, arrange my holidays around the season and take days holidays when there's a mid week match, (given where I live and work) and I probably still will do all that.. I will also continue the lancelotto, continue to buy my season tickets and one if not 2 of the new shirts that are produced every season as I have done for the last goodness knows how long, so I am actually one that does take exception to Gary's post.

Anyway, I think we should all get back to being friends. There's another game in Sunday.
