Hornets previous game against Wales also was an heated affair. I wonder if the RFL will notice the common denominator.

Oldham have 5 players on the Disciplinary list from the Hornets game, whilst Hornets got away with one just the aggressor Adam Bowman being recommended for No further action to a one match ban. Alex Thompson is OK as his case is no charge. But the others Danny Whitmore Fighting (2-3), Martin Roden Fighting (NFA-1), Jamie Dallimore Fighting (NFA-1) and John Clough Conduct against spirit of the game (4-
. I find this quite unbelievable as I thought they were the aggressors. Cloughie's is probably understandable, although within the rules of the game and not having intent to advertising board him there is plenty of mitigation. Were the others fighting themselves? which seems to be the case as there are no Rochdale players except for the one that caused all the rumpus.

Hi S10Coach
I find that absolutely incredible. Mark McCully was left bleeding from a cut on the face after the rumpus and I am sure it wasn't from one of the Oldham players. Another bitter pill to swallow from all this is that the instigator, Bowman, is facing just a NFA to a 1 game ban. Alex Thompson has no charge, and rightly so, and he was one sin-binned after it all for no apparent reason! Talk about rubbing salt in the wounds.
As you quite rightly put it saints10coach - unbelievable. The RFL should be ashamed of themselves.

The RFL have totally lost the plot, the wind up merchants get away with it again. Two weeks on the trot. Disgraceful!
Wouldn't it be nice if we had a couple of "wind up merchants" playing for us.
One of Oldhams major failings over it's declining years is being too nice to get away with anything.
I will always rembember watching a game at St Annes when Paul Ashton was lining up a touchline conversion kick and cheekily commenting to the referee "If you are not cheating, you're not trying."
