Dragons v Knights. 1st half Dragons should have overwhelmed the Knights having more possesion and more physical in attack and defence going in 12-4 at HT should give the Knights some hope if they can find another gear next half!

2nd half 0-0 Knights didn't really press and Dragons just stepped back and contained them. Knights need more grunt up front and more ideas in attack. Dragons will just flatter to deceive,

Broncos v Raiders. Raiders start off brightly getting the first score , Broncos gradually get back in the game and finish strongly, Raiders Campese carried off just before h/t no idea what happend 20-6 h/t to Broncos. Raiders could struggle now in the 2nd half

Raiders defended gamely and fortunately for them Broncos were wasteful going for the try line .FT 30-6. Broncos starting to look good but a way to go to emulate Storm.

Storm playing Doggies tomorrow should be a cracker

The Dragons v Knights game was terrible. 12 v 11 in errors and a fair few missed tackles, good battle of strategy and chances if you're into that sort of play but nothing to excite at all. Broncos game was interesting, a bit of a walkover but at least some enterprising play and strong performances from both sides.
NRL - North Queensland Cowboys, my true team.

ESL - Huddersfield Giants

knights remind me of hull fc of recent years - limited, boring, rarely get hammered but never seriously threaten for honours. the 25k they are getting for home games deserve better.

Crusaders RL to get a franchise for 2012 onwards -WRONG
Widnes Vikings also to get a franchise - RIGHT
Crusaders RL to do the double over Widnes and finish five places ahead of them -WRONG
Widnes Vikings NOT to dominate rugby league in years to come! STILL TO COME

I think this year they will be mid table at best, but I can see some big changes in the Team off season for two main reasons, Benny needs to bolster the pack an get another playmaker, two the owner Tinkler will demand changes and has got the money to do it!

I'm kind of confused here... there is the Australia RL Forum already set up, and there is a wkly Comp. so why is this thread still up and running in the General RL site? Usually the Mods discontinue ANY Aussie RL intervention immediately. There are other alternatives than SL sites. I don't have any allegance, i take part in both SL and Aussie Leagues.

god i hate the crappy held rule - and what logic is there in not penalising the offload after the call of held on the basis that the player might not have heard the call, but completing the tackle gets penalised? stupid tinkering rule changing gits!

storm bulldogs game was a cracker - my fave kind of league game - tough, low scoring, tense, forwards smashing it. great stuff, not the biggest crowd but sounded like a decent atmosphere. bulldogs forwards were immense in attack and defense and feel the bulldogs will definitely be a contender come the post-season but need to develop better heads up decision making 20 metres out. storm looked a little unsure but boy those guys play for each other. four players getting across the field on the doggies last chance play show a team that play for each other. impressive if not showy game.

Melbourne defence was excellent, whilst the doggies last option was very poor. Cronk was quiet today but Widdop again stepped up and created a try for Hoffman and made a couple of great breaks. Another decent crowd in Melbourne with over 14,900 which is better than the 11,000 Manly got for example. Crowds and the Storms popularity is slowly growing each year. The toughness of Melbourne shines through each week and whilst many look at the big 3 the role others play like Widdop, Hoffman, O, Neill, Ryles, Holdsworth etc play should not be forgotten. Melbourne will be the team to beat again this year. Bellamy seems to be able to get the best out of no names and has beens.

Unfortunately the Dogs' halves pairing is near enough to the worst in the league, it's holding them back big time at the moment.

How about them Cowboys, bit of a smashing  along with the standard heart-in-mouth moments to start the second half.

Intrestingly Danny Buderus is now saying NRL boring compared to SL and goes on to cite SL as attack orientated compared to the now defensive minded NRL. The better NRL teams will put points against lesser NRL teams no problem, when its a top 4 match like Storms v Doggies its a mighty battle with defence on top but the effort still makes it a top game to watch.
Ironically Buderus's team the Knights are having to be defence minded not having a big enough prop unit up front providing the grunt

Pussycats v Tiggers Boy are Pussycats poor absolutely clueless making the underperforming Tiggers look half decent. Clint Newton for Pussycats is a waste of space he struggled in SL can see him being offloaded at the end of the season, Tiggers not disrupted by Farah going off concussed. Tiggers 18-0 h/t. Can't see them throwing this one away 2nd half, but if Panthers suddenly find their way to the try line you never know!

More of the same Pussycats contrived every which way not to score. Tiggers didn't press to hard but still managed a couple of tries without too much effort f/t 30-0 to Tiggers.

Widnes would fancy their chances against the Pussycats!
