Sinfield, but not yet.
Maybe Burrow, but only because there's a recession on and bronze is expensive
EDIT: Just realised I missed the "not" in the subheading. Ignore me...

I think the list of people who shouldn't have a statue built outside the ground is quite long.
I particularly wouldn't like to see a statue outside Odsal commemoratiting Caisley and Harris sat around a table signing that contract.
Maybe not one of Nick Zisti, too.

Great question this, very clearly worded.
After his comments on the Rangi Chase thread (which I haven't even commented on), I think Kenny Tiger probably shouldn't have a statue of him outside the ground.

Astute analysis from a Wigan fan:
Rumour going around Headingley that Wire will have to play the second half with 12 men.
It seems that they forgot to bring the half time oranges, and Solomona ate Chris Bridge instead.
Don't know why he was hungry, as he looked as though he had eaten the whole youth team before the game started.

... anyone who is still alive.
Statues should be reserved for the long-since-dead-and-buried. There's something freaky about someone living to see their statue erected... what if they go mental with the ego boost and do something bad (like lose the plot and kill some random passersby with a shovel for not recognising them)? Would you have to replace the statue in the dead of night with one of some less controversial figure? There's something reassuring about the dead - their feats seem more legendary and they're less likely to cock up their image posthumously.

Post Office Rd should not have a statue of Maggie Thatcher outside it!
Wakefield Trinity should not have a statue of John Pearman
A statue of Andy Farrell would not go down well at Langtree Park

Pop to Headingley, then.
I'd actually now like to see this.
I understand they're in the process of erecting one there.

I bow to Saints fans' delicate sensibilities - Gary Connolly it is, then.

London's original home ground really shouldn't have a statue of Michael Jackson outside it... oops!

Clive Sullivan by a country mile - one of the first (if not the first) coloured sportsmen to captain a national side and the last to beat the Aussies in a series + 200 games for Hull & Rovers and a fantastic bloke & player

Bah. This thread has been ruined by too many people taking it in the spirit in which it was intended, rather than in the petty, pedantic way which was funnier.
