According to the press today, we have lost the two Hull lads + the two Warrington lads and the lads from Castleford are not coming soon.
That leaves us with a depleated squad to choose from, just when we dont need it.
Anyway, onwards and upwards!!!

Symptomatic of the problems of using dual reg, Ian.
I was have a conversation with Mark Aston on Sunday about DR and he was saying that he will only use it if it is strictly on his terms and he knows exactly when and for how long a player will be available.
Given the circumstances of this season ( no relegation etc ), the more I think about it, the more I reckon we should be bringing on our younger lads and looking around for some good lads out of the 'amateur' game.

Just wonder if there is a half back out there that we could sign on full time
using the money that won't be spent on the 4 dual reg lads.

Exactly the reason why I wouldn't touch DR with a barge-pole. SL clubs mop up all the young talented players then lend them to us, at a cost, it's a cynical ploy designed to help SL clubs develop players at lower league clubs expense, nothing more. The negatives far outweigh any positives and the sooner all Championship clubs tell the RFL and SL to do-one regarding this the better in my opinion.

Its only any good if you get them on a season long loan like we did with McGilvary at Batley.

Both my knees are shot, both shoulders are kn*ckered, carry far too much weight (got that in before someone else did) and got an ingrowing toe nail, so should fit the bill quite nicely.

There's a decent half back trying to get back to fitness as quickly as poss..... (and it's not me though I am on my new fitness regime for training for the charity run, I had one less cornflake this morning ! )

Mentioned a half back (his ''initials'' very current to us)to the assistant coach yesterday,
but not really sure what his club/injury situation is, but Press today says no panic buying
& Haynsey no nearer fitness.

Seem to remember reading a few weeks back the Prycey was about a month away from fitness,
would reckon Swinton away will be something like 5 weeks since that statement.

Managed my 3rd just over 10k run Monday night Andy, determined to one every 10 days if I possibly
can, but will no doubt be rubbish when it matters.

I've determined to do one 10K run every..... year, Col !
Put some fencing up at the cricket club last night in the pouring rain, does that count as training ?
Think the half back is back running and has been in contact with the club...

Good stuff Andy.

Did the initials bit make any sense??
We mentioned the same initials in the bar Sunday after the game when
talking about 2 other players..

Also understand there may be a little light at the end of the tunnel....
