John has signed for York on a dual reg . The article is the bbc website , I didn't know he had left unless I have missed it.

What a joke the dual reg is. If a player joins another team it should be for a minimum of a 3 month loan with no recall option.
I wonder why he didn't sign for longer with us?
Was he not one of wj's favourites?

perhaps WJ had maximum loan deals and someone had to go back to his parent club ?

That's the whole point of dual-reg: there is no minimum period and the lending club can change their mind at a moments notice. Loans are different and much more difficult to come by. They also tend to involve an "introductory payment" to the incoming player, so aren't as cheap as some seem to think.

Davies played really well for York yesterday. Scored a try, and I believe was announced as their MOM.
WJ sounded pretty hacked off with the Dual Reg system in his post-match interview. He's probably right - some tweaks to the system are required.

Seemingly when we were offered Bolger again we had to cross Davies off our registration as we were at the limit. Then London recalled Bolger in order to play him in their second team. I can understand WJ being a bit hacked off with it all.

Me neither if I'm being honest, but maybe that's because we haven't really benefited much from them so far. I reckon the RL should scrap dual reg and scrap the under twenty SL set up leaving them with just the good old fashioned reserves and an academy. That way, some decent young players who are unlikely to make the big time would be freed up to join the semi pros, and get the opportunity to develop in the next tier (and to learn a trade before it's too late).scrap it altogether is the answer no mix ups then eh . i personally dont like th DR system
