Now that we have seen what the points scoring system is, does anyone know

1. is there an end of season play-off competition?
2. how many teams wil be involved?
3. What is the format? (1 v 2 for the final etc)

Someone said on the other thread there were no playoffs though I'm surprised by that.

Is it first past the post then? Surely the clubs know what's going on.

Yeah would be top 6 as per usual. Not sure where the poster on the other thread got it from. Perhaps it's just a case of no longer being a final with the Championship clubs?

Hopefully if negotiations can be finalised then it will take place as a curtain raiser to the Catalans Dragons last home game

How do you think the top 6 will be looking come the end of season? In no particular order I'd go with, Huddersfield, Hemel, Warrington, South Wales, Coventry and kippax.

I think they should be at Moorends ground just to wind up Marauder.

Then he will see that Summer rugby has paid off.

We have played summer and winter since 2004 and in that time reached 3 national finals, upteen regional finals, won the merit final so you can see we are adapted to summer rugby and who is to say we will not return :P
Carlsberg don't do Soldiers, but if they did, they would probably be Brits.<div align='center'></div>

Not against any or even the pyramid system, it's the way the RFL have bullied and coned their way into pole position and lets face it now they have most of the amateur game don't you think they are making a right fist of it.

They will get their own way with the NCL in the next couple of season as well.

They're doing a good job at tier 4 outside of Yorkshire.

Division 3 ex-RLCN, Criteria to join will be reduced and the RFL will eventually take away your voting rights on all issues and control it with a junta, failed championship sides will automatically gain access into the NCL.

Only 3 division 3 clubs fail criteria. These are Bramley, Warrington Wizards and South Wales Hornets. Bramley can't raise a team so that's out of the question. The RFL's wish for the likes of South Wales is a Conference South and it is there that the RFL would lower criteria not up north. Whether the RFL would fiddle it and let the Wizards in a Conference South of whether they'd play in the successful NW Men's League is a separate debate, the latter would be far more logical.

The RFL have said in the past they'd like a Championship 2 which would likely need to be mostly NCL sides. They've also said they'd like promotion and relegation between C1 and the Conference. So clubs would have to decide whether or not lowering criteria would be worth ot for the chance of promotion. Only they'd be able to decide that.

You may be right in the sense that the criterea may be diluted to allow additional teams into division three, or into the southern conference league.

However the crirerea will not be altered to get into the NCL(Three divisions) as we know it.

You obviously dont know how the NCL management/deligates operate. The RFL will not be taking the voting right away from them, and wont even try.
