That one of my wife's cousins from Hull. Was talking to his mum and dad when we played dockers. Twin brother Nathan already plays for Donny. I believe one was on the books for Hull FC and the other for Hull KR when they were younger.
Nick scored a good try against us and was disappointed to be on the losing side when I saw him.

As you say, maybe worth a shot, especially for this season.

Anyone want his number?

Thats all lovely and stuff, but is there really no York-born players out there that want to play for the team?

No one in the NCL's, no one in the Championships, no one in the SuperLeague academies?

Remember Hayes & Forsyth up front, Rammo, Callaghan & Cain tackling machines, Fox & Potter scoring tries for fun?

Ahh thems were the days...

A lot of York lads are happy playing with their mates, Gav and that applies elsewhere too at the Hull am clubs, Sharlston and the rest.
There are a couple of current Acorn players who, I think, would be good enough, given time at C level but whether they want to is another thing. It's not just the playing is it - training regime, diet, gym work etc, job has to fit in too..
OK a York lad plays and his relations and one or two of his mates come along too but isn't that also the case with, say. a Hull lad like Wats ?
Having said all that, there's one York lad at the Knights, who, having watched what we have seen up to now, must surely warrant a go - fans favorite and international !!

"...yeah, cheers, lost loads, feel great..."

"...I can do 20 on 20 off easy now... could do 70 without much problem, which isn't far off..."

"...it's frustrating not playing, but I'm off on holiday in a couple of weeks so can't really commit fully until after that..."

Nice lad, you've only got to ask him.

I reckon 2013 is his season, hopefully he'll get some good 1st team runs this year too.
