If you are travelling to the Galpharm on Sunday, there is a fair chance that you could get delayed by up to an hour. There will be if you decide to visit the Rugby League Heritage Centre first. It is located in the basement of the George Hotel which is very close to the main railway station.
The centre has a collection of rare rugby league memorabilia: ancient caps, jerseys and boots, valuable medals and trophies, old programmes and newspaper cuttings and century old digitised photographs.
This unique visitor attraction charts the programme of the game in a user friendly format that appeals to fans of all ages.
You will also see a collection of over 200 prints on the walls leading down to this purpose built exhibition hall.
Admission is free and on the left hand side as you walk into the hall there is also a collection of books, novels, magazines, DVDs and RLHC pens and tee shirts to buy and all in good time for Father's Day too.
Enjoy your visit to a place that all Rugby League fans should visit at least once in their lives.

www.geofflee.net for news of my novels, One Winter, One Spring, One Summer and One Autumn, all written against a strong Rugby League background, set in South Lancashire and inspired by the old saying about work: "They could write a book about this place. It would be a best seller".
