I'd have gone with 4 Cumbrians and no byes and can't work out how the NW spaces are decided (though only sides from the interim season seem to be there). Otherwise looks a good cup.

We've always paid our way, infact we are spending nearly £30,000 of our own money on ground improvements before the start of next season

How many teams are left in when it becomes an open draw?

How did they decide it was Gloucester (I know they're Mids Prem, so that makes sense) against Somerset Vikings (not winners of anything)? Did our SW development manager just pluck a team out of the air, or were they the only team that wanted to enter? I'd have thought that Swindon, at least, would have wanted a pop.

Gloucestershire as West of England division winners and Somerset as highest ranked SW division team who wanted to enter would be my guess. Qualifiers would be a nice idea in future though.

No this is the first we've spent, we moved in with the local union side so the ground we where going to sign for was given back word on, then after just one season the union team back tracked on our deal so we have moved back to our old miners welfare ground and thats why we are spending our money to bring it up to a good standard.

£2,000 - trees felling
£20,000 -fencing the ground off
£4,000 - new pitch fence
£3,500 - pitch side cantain container
£1,500 - second bank of training floodlighting
£14,500 - 75 seater grandstand to be paid for by a grant from a windfarm

In reserve we still have a plot of land that was once valued at £250,000

Been to the union set up, very impressive.

If you had stayed away they would probably have carried on with the deal.
