The Federation Italian Rugby League (F.I.R.L), will take part for the first time the General Assembly of the Rugby League International Federation, to be held in London / Manchester from May 1 to May 5, 2012.
This will be the first official appearance of an Italian representative in a meeting of the International Federation. The R.L.I.F. invited F.I.R.L. To sit down with the powers of the rugby league world, thanks to the results and credibility, recently obtained
In England the discussion will be mainly about the 'upcoming 2013 rugby league World Cup and the worldwide development of rugby league.
At this meeting there will be a delegation from FIRL made up of President Daniel Veronese and General Manager Tiziano Franchini.
President Veronese, stated that: "for FIRL it is an honor to take part in this AGM with world powers such as England, Australia and New Zealand, and France.
Joining the elite of international rugby league is a huge incentive for us to improve and to follow the guidelines given to develop rugby league in Italy, with the help of the international entitie ".
The President Veronese, concluded by stating that: "Despite the young age of FIRL and the Italian movement of rugby league, being invited to take part in the RLIF General Assembly is the result of the good work done in recent years by the Federation that I represent”.
Tiziano Franchini, also declares that " FIRL, as well as thanking the RLIF for the invitation to this official appointment, he also wants to submit to the International board the developments undertaken in recent months, with the new federal statute, which will enable FIRL to be more professional and democractic. "
The main theme of the Meeting will be the 2013 Rugby League World Cup to be held in England, and FIRL has already scheduled visits to the facilities that will host Italy, during the World Cup, also to establish the right network of connections in England to ensure the National Team, an excellent organization to get the best results possible.
