Did you visit the Rugby League Heritage Centre in the George Hotel today before the match? Did you enjoy your visit, would you go again, will you encourage other RL fans to visit and have you any suggestions for Stevo and Keith.

www.geofflee.net for news of my novels, One Winter, One Spring, One Summer and One Autumn, all written against a strong Rugby League background, set in South Lancashire and inspired by the old saying about work: "They could write a book about this place. It would be a best seller".

Today's cup match brought together two of the only three clubs (Huddersfield, Hunslet and Swinton) ever to sweep the board in one rugby league season by winning all-fours-cups (Championship, Challenge Cup, County Championship and County Cup winners).
The Lions were the last team to do so (1927-28) and the only side from the Lancashire side of the Pennines to achieve this great feat.

I had planned to visit the museum and a trip down memory lane with Huddersfield where I spent the most unhappy 8 months of my life at Poly in 1989,however the traffic around the Trafford Centre, the weather and the awful journey via Woodley meant a late arrival and I missed out.

I made a visit about five years ago.
It's a bug bear of mine of how few international players we've had considering our history and also how the RFL managed to omit Martin Hodgson from the original hall of fame members.
The Heritage Centre managed to carry on this theme as the total coverage of our club was a picture of Ken Gowers.
I left disappointed.
