as i am involved with bramley i can confirm that reports of our demise are wide of the mark again ! We had more players yesterday than we have had in a while but we were beaten by the weather (again) We have struggled to find dry ground to train on for the past few weeks and this weekend all games on council owned pitches in Leeds,Bradford, kirklees and Wakefield were postponed.Rhinos 20's played on the Stanningley pitch kicking off at 11.00 and the referee and touch judges told us that pitch would not stand another game, standing water on the pitch and torrential rain still falling so we could do no more.Dont worry we will be at Coventry at the weekend. And bowes do me a favour if you have no idea about what is going on keep it buttonedn thanks
It will be interesting to see Bramleys team.
Where have they got their players from or are they going to play banned players(as last year) or illegal duel registered players.
Take a hard look at their registration Bowes.

game being called off.
If you legitimately have a problem it should be with the opening poster though I suspect he's just repeating what he's heard elsewhere. Your lashing out is telling though.

Give it a rest man for God's sake; every chance you have to stick the boot in on Bramley you do. You are making a fool of yourself
Good luck to Bramley, hope they are able to travel to Coventry this weekend, I am sure they will.

Unfortunately it has been passed just some BARLA leagues don't recognise it.They're filling up with dual reg players apparently. I didn't realise that this rule had been passed.
Just means clubs like Bramley will forevermore make the first 2 weeks of every season a laughing stock.

why do you say 2 weeks Bowes? The game on Sunday was postponed by a Grade 1 referee due to the state of the pitch; hardly Bramley's fault that is it?

Last year is 2 weeks. But the point is it's unacceptable to enter a league knowing you can only fulfil fixtures after the winter season is over. Yorkshire Men's League short season would gladly accept a club of that calibre but tier 3 doesn't need clubs that routinely call off the start of the season and are reliant on other clubs' players. It's hardly a one off.why do you say 2 weeks Bowes? The game on Sunday was postponed by a Grade 1 referee due to the state of the pitch; hardly Bramley's fault that is it?

It will be interesting to see who these duel registered players are; or in fact are they actually duel registered or are Bramley just playing them.

If and when this league becomes part of, and under the control of the NCL, this action will not be tolerated and they may find themselves kicked out.

The NCL have said they won't accept Bramley without them having reserves and juniors. Not sure what the ruling would be on their renting another club's ground. But clearly being unable to play til May (or potentially last week of April) would be a problem in a league starting in March. The juniors and reserves rule would rule out Warrington Wizards and South Wales Hornets unless they either start those teams or link up with a local club.If and when this league becomes part of, and under the control of the NCL, this action will not be tolerated and they may find themselves kicked out.

Ah okay. They'd need some kind of junior setup as well though not sure how many teams they'd need these days as they scrapped the 6 team rule.Wizards have entered an 'A' team in the NW entry division

I Beleive that last season Bramley used alot of Rugby Union players from a local club I think that their season is now finishedThey're filling up with dual reg players apparently. I didn't realise that this rule had been passed.
so that could be where the players are coming from.
