From 11am onwards the Salford Uni students will be unveiling their memorablia showcase.

There will also be memorabilia on show, including some of Bob Fleets medals.

Please come along and show your support, the students would like to have your feedback.

Just been in the office and Legends Bar will definitely be closed on Sunday as it has been booked for a private function which is why the banquetting suite is open to fans both before and after the match.

Funny you should mention "a Christening", my son can't go to the match on Sunday because he's going to a Christening instead. It's for the baby granddaughter of an ex-Lion.

Yesterday it was stated fans could use the banquetting suite before and after the game now it seems its just prior to kick off.I for one miss the access we had to the players post match as we enjoyed at Sedgley Park. This to me is something that made our game different to Football and made the match experience far more enjoyable. When we do get to Agecroft I hope we are not alienated from the players after the game as we have been this season and indeed last.

Where is the banquetting suite & how do you get in, we intend having a drink in there before the game?

This site is nothing more than an informal discussion forum for supporters. It is not a source of official matchday information from Swinton Lions. The website you need is this one: http://www.swintonlionsrlc.co.uk/ which also contains all the contact details you need if wishing to take your enquiries further.

Thanks, but fully clear exactly what this forum is about.

But cannot honestly believe your club does not put something on your forum to
give info to visiting fans (who are wanting to give you some money) to clarify
which stands, bars etc are open.

Have copied & pasted this from your recomended club website - note no mention of visiting fans - and we wonder why attendances are down:

Important notice to all Swinton fans, unfortunately due to a prior booking, the Legends Bar will
be closed for this Sunday’s game against York.
However, Lions supporters will be allowed to purchase drinks in the Banqueting Suite between 10:30am and 12 noon,
but at half time will have to use the facilities on the concourse.

Don't see what your beef is about here, the details are for all to see. When I came over to York I simply looked on your site for the information I required and by the way this didn't include a special mention to Swinton fans.

Which stand is the banqueting bar in??

When I booked tickets through LSV, think they said only 1 stand will be open,
assuming the bar is in that stand, but don't know for sure.

If you are fully clear that's a relief as its only taken 4 occasions of you questioning fans on here and each time being politely advised that your energies are misdirected.

The club puts its information on its website, address supplied above, and not onto this fans forum - which it doesn't moderate and is strictly unofficial. Else you risk opening a huge can of worms. In taking this approach Swinton Lions are doing exactly the same as the overwhelming majority of clubs. If you really need to do things with such military precision, ring them up! By the way - that's exactly what we'd have to do to, if we were so inclined.

There's no segregation at RL matches by the way, so perhaps it was a bit shortsighted of the club to insert "Lions" in the second sentance of the passage you have cut and pasted, but other than that you have no beef.

Supporters don't make policy on aspects such as how the LSV is set up on a match day. We know as much as you. It really cannot be expressed any clearer. If you have any more questions and challenges for Swinton Lions club policy, go ask the people who own and run that policy.

If you've not been to LSV before it'll all become clear when you get there. The bar which is closed near the main entrance will have a steward on the door directing spectators to the Banqueting Suite.
Swinton Lions' Supporters Trust members will also be on hand to urge and direct spectators to go to the Banqueting Suite so you can see some of the Lions' Tales memorabilia on show there.....and grab a pint before the match!
See you Sunday....don't forget 12 o'clock KO but the Banqueting Suite opens at 10:30am - hic!

Great, thanks for that - all we wanted to know - will have 2nr 75 year old mothers
with us so don't want to be marching them all over the place trying to get a drink
and getting those looks again...

See you Sunday.
