Its 22-32 into the 2nd half.
Ive just looking at their latest matches and..
LOST to London 16-66
LOST to hornets 18-54
Now,the game is not over yet today but i'd say the team is not performing and obviously we are carrying players.
So,either Benson has to go,OR Hamilton has to make way for someone who is prepared to invest in the team.
At this rate we can forget all about promotion and look forward to visits by teams like coventry and bristol next season.
Hamiltons words quoted in the chron about not being the end of the world if we dont get promoted keep ringing in my ears.
NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!

Hows about giving some credit to jamie durbin and co for a very good resolute performance against a side who were battered by "SL gym monkeys" only last week, oldham community radio commentators remarked that they were the best side they had seen at whitebank so far...we have no divine right to win matches(and we won the toss again!!!)

Im not.
pathetic at hornets, scrapped a draw at skolars, the writing has been on the wall for a while.
Make no mistake, crusaders are cannon fodder and the fact we leaked 36 points to a team getting mauled by others tells me a lot about the team 'assembled' at oldham.
Hamilton/Benson taking this club nowhere .
And if CH doesn't think its a disaster staying in the slums of the RL world, he's deluded.
Some serious questions need asking of the 'regime' in charge at the club, simples.

Hows about checking their results this season?Doesn't wash with me.people said the same about the skolars result, they are a good team at home.
Sounds to me like you will be content with playing coventry, bristol next season.Id say the club will be lucky to pull 100,you'll see more at saddleworth Rangers on a weekend.
I stand by what i said, and i hope someone somewhere has the money and enthusiasm to resue this club!

Calm down Champ, I listen to the match on Oldham Comm Radio and my own view on ORLFC has been open to scrutiny on this forum for some time now...As Chris Hamilton said after the match live on OCR..."Not good enough!" so even he agrees with you!

Got to agree here, coundn't make the game today but followed it on Sky Sports, very disappointing again. Things can't change with CH in charge and never will, but how much longer can he give the coach on this showing?

Is it finally going to dawn on some supporters that CH is not the answer to the problem? HE IS THE PROBLEM!

One of the biggest indictments of our so called coach came today when Crusaders were making hay down our left wing (3 or 4 tries and numerous breaks) and yet it took him until about 15 minutes from the end to swap the centres round, when anyone in the crowd could see the problem in the first half. Benson's not just past his sell by date, he never reached it! But I won't hold my breath on him being replaced, as he should be, because he's cheap (or at least that's the perception). We'll get the usual "we won't panic" message from CH. Well, I've news for you CH - if you want promotion, now's the time to panic, cos we've not won in the league for 3 games, there's only 12 games left and we are sliding fast.

NWC were superb in particular Durbin. Their one on one defence was resolute and unforgiving forcing us to look clueless at times. That said, RL is a tough game and nobody who took the field today didnt take a backward step and set up a great finale.

Shocking performance today both in attack and defence. Our defence has been at the heart of our decent form so far this year but it capitulated today and Crusaders destroyed both of our edge defences. However for me our attack is an even bigger worry. We just can't create opportunities and the only ones we can create come from scooting at dummy half by Clough,Whitmore,Miles or Robbo.

Team selection was also appalling today. Moving the two centres smacked of arrogance from the off and we lost because of it. Fogarty missed six or seven easy one on one tackles and caused three tries because of it whilst Brocky on the other flank was no better. Holroyd had a very poor game and should not have been bought. Whitmore has been MOTM three times out of our last four games playing there and should have remained there. Boults hasn't had a good game all year whereas Syron has improved week on week since he signed. Smith clearly wasn't fit and only played 20 mins whilst Ward who had a cracking game last week sat on the sidelines. M.Roden in front of Thompson,Ward and Bentley is the worse decision made all season. He adds absolutely nothing to our team apart from giving the opposition penalties and field position.

Needs a serious overall if we want to avoid a caning next week at the top scorers.

Lost at Rochdale, draw in London, lost today
Simply not good enough.
Hamilton must press the panic button now before it's too late
Missing out on promotion is NOT an option, it will kill the club so we need to act now

Biffs playing Doncaster next week should be interesting......they're pretty good as we found out!
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of......

Didn`t see this this one coming-not helped by the bookies giving them a 26 point start. The biggest difference was in the coaching:NWC tackled well, worked as a unit and played `proper` RL as against our 3 stragegies:one-man drives, running from the play-the-ball and high kicks.I enjoyed watching them throw the ball around and (God forbid) pass the ball in the tackle.I also enjoyed being next to a great bunch of NWC supporters who were very knowledgeable as well as being great fun.
I praised Benson for his preparation of the team against St Helens, and he deserved it ; but the recent results, that match apart, show that Oldham are lacking in `nous`,options and off-field leadership. At best this was a middle-of-the-table performance in which every one of our players was outplayed by their opposite number. To put it mildly, not good enough.

I predicted a difficult game and was drowned in a cascade of scorn (Allroughyed). Well, i'm not interested in gloating but will we never learn. Once again we see an easy win.Wonder if some of the lads "relaxed" a bit too much and took the game for granted.......once again how many times last season did we struggle against teams we should have beaten. Club rules are no alcohol 3 days before a game, I wonder if this was adhered to?....... TB is limited, sorry to say that as he's been loyal to Oldham but if you need inspiration and drive TB looks like a damp squib on the touchline. I think the fantastic Oldham fans deserve better. Lost to Rochdale, Saints, drew at London and now this. Not the best run."Made in Oldham" is restricting the club, we're too small minded, TB is limited and bereft of original ideas.

Oldham are a fantastic club, superb fans, second to none, but please take the rose coloured specs off and see that we are being coached not much better than amateurs. We deserve better.

Over to you Allroughyed

Looking at the games we have lost we tried to boss it in the forwards for 20 minutes and came out second best. The usual substitutions had little effect and yet we continued to play the same style. Surely the senior players on the pitch as well as the coaching staff can see this so why wait for the last 10 minutes before we move the ball around.
Let's hope we have a plan B if it is not working at Doncaster.
