Reading the Hunslet forum, after yesterdays result (0-48) they are looking for a massive response against us - so our lads need to continue on from yesterday and achieve what has already been highlighted as a winnable game - but as previously stated nothing will be easy in this league.
Barry Eaton's a very canny coach without a doubt, but his squad is having a hard time with injuries and he is having to put out a very young side at the moment - the Lions should be aiming for a convincing win.

dont think u should worryWe should be looking for a solid performance and victory on Sunday, allbeit against a weakened Hunslet team, through no fault of their own. Morty should be back which is good news, so we should be seeing pretty much the same team as last Sunday as I don't think we picked up any more injuries.

Mills?! I had to put him as a possibility, even if it does cause uproar amongst the Lions faithful!

Hale should be so lucky. Not impressed me at all so far, Riley has been superb and is an obvious selection, even ahead of Meekin for me. Mills is a joke, enough said. Mike Morrison has played well this season, but with the emergence of Walker Forster and Riley, his place is no certainty. We should be looking for a solid performance and victory on Sunday, allbeit against a weakened Hunslet team, through no fault of their own. I agree about Hale, but he's been mentioned on the website as being taken to Hunslet so hopefully he can do a job for us.
Another masterclass from Ainscough could be on the cards. 9 tries this season, 2 or 3 assists at weekend, as well as a try and an unlucky disallowed effort. Let's hope he's in double figures by 17:00 on Sunday!

I've been surprised that Foxen's become a forgotten man. Admittedly I don't think he's the answer as far as the wing is concerned, but it would be a shame to write him off completely as he showed promise as an impact player coming off the bench into the second row. If still in training & available, his physical presence could come in useful at Hunslet.
Judging from Steve McCormack's comments this week I suspect Gavin Dodd will be keeping his place. Hopefully no more air shot tackles such as the one last week that gave James Ford a walk-in. And hopefully the margin of victory will be wide enough that goal kicking won't be too crucial! (_8o)

Barry Eaton made a statement in our bar last week after the disaster against Batley , saying that will not happen for next week thas being the Swinton game. Lets hope for the usual tight game between our two teams with flowing play and some good try's from both teams.

Does it not worry you that out of the 4 playeryou mention only 1 is actually a swinton player, what happens if 1 or all of the dr/loan players are recalled back and then you have to rely on players who have been left out for a few weeks (holland 5 games upto now), cant be good for them match fittness wise ??Drooling over the prospect of Riley, Walker, Forster and Morrison in one game, however looks like we may have to wait a little longer if what bryce says is right about riley! IMO Dodd offers more in attack than Mort, but defensively Mort is much more 'sensible' and his goal kicking goes without saying plus his effort is always there so for me I think id have Mort over Dodd, just hope mac sees it that way. I think realistically we should be looking at a win but nothings ever simple with Swinton and Eaton is a good coach, so should be a good game!!!

With regards to the loan/dr forwards. The 4 mentioned would just be an option for us. Mills and Meekin have played regularly and as much as a fair few Lions fans will disagree with the decision, Mills is likely to be in the squad tomorrow. Meekin has played well this season IMO and I'm sure there's more to come from him. Walker and Riley have played well recently off the bench and Forster has been awesome for us as well. So I'm not too worried about the forwards situation, especially if we can attract players such as Forster and Riley in the future, if they don't make the cut at SL standard.
Either way, I'm looking forward to a good match and hopefully a win for the Lions.

Never seen a bad Hunslet Swinton game to be honest. The games between our teams are usually like a cup tie. Think you will edge this one this time as we have too many key men out , although two new signings to come into our team should help us a bit and they will be out to impress.

There was a time, back in the '80s when you couldn't sepeart Swinton & Hunslet, loads of drawn match, I hope it's a good one, with the Lions taking the 3 points tough
