Eric Sykes was great - still cut the mustard in a cameo in "dinnerladies" - although that was 12 years ago now !

A truely great comedian and comic writer. All the more impresive when you think he was deaf from his early 40's and had to lip read the other actors lines in his shows.
I can still remember watching Eric and Hattie on the black and white telly in the 60's.
