An odd trio, just passed away:

Scott Asheton, drummer with The Stooges.
Fred Phelps, founder of the Westboro Baptist Church.
Broadcaster Clarissa Dickson Wright.

St Peter's in for a fun time.

I bet she had fun filling in application forms that required your full name getting that lot in.

Her father was a real thug apparently.

When I was newly qualified as a Doctor, I had the "Pleasure" of working as a House Officer for an ENT surgeon, the ENT ward was named after her Father at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington

(& I remember it being a real shambles, I have spoken to one of my juniors, and she says it has changed into a decently operating ward)

I saw Ronnie Corbett trending, and I thought he had died too, but he has just retired from showbusiness...

James Rebhorn. I didn't recognise the name straight away but know the face. Good actor.

Frankie Knuckles.  House music innovator

One of the most influential people in black music and popular culture, who most people have never even heard of.

I remember meeting him back in '87 when there were probably only a few hundred people in the UK who knew what house music was.  Nice guy, terrible news.

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

Unbelievable. Two kids left behind, too. Very sad.

Very sad news about Peaches Geldof. I was hardly a fan but a very sad tale and I feel for her father who must be in the pits of despair.

No I don't care if you're if you're into different bands

No cause for so much hatred, I'm just a different man

Pull off that cover, I will too, and learn to understand

With music deep inside we'll make world unity our plan

Poor kid.

Absolutely terrible to die so young with two small children.

Tragic but not worth all the newspaper headlines. This was the lead article in Metro for 2 days. She was hardly Mandela.

I'd be surprised if her family wanted two pages of front page headlines with multiple articles on pages 2 and 3.

My old deputy head and maths teacher from prep school. I threw a couple of chairs at him once, as he was a sadistic old #### who seemed to enjoy hurting us kids. The next day, I was summoned to his office, expecting an epic beating, but he sat me down and we talked for quite a while.

That was in my last term there. I heard later that he had become a reformed and popular character.
