P D JAMES aged 94 why is it that women seen to excel at that sort of crime writing? RIP

Because women never stop scheming or, as they put it, 'I was just thinking ... '.

Very sad loss. The Small Faces, for some reason, never get remembered with the credit they deserve. They were up there with the Who, the Kinks and the Hollies in shaping a distinctive British pop music sound.

Thanks, Ian.

I agree. Some great songs. They were good performers who clearly enjoyed themselves and, in Ronnie Lane, they had a very good songwriter.

Sad to see Ian McLagan following Ronnie and Steve Marriott to that great recording studio in the Sky.
