Clive Dunn.

I was only thinking about him the other day and wondering how old he was. Dad's Army seemed to be cursed with a lot of the main cast dying before their time. Must be going back a while when Ian Lavender and Clive Dunn were the only ones left.

And it's astonishing to think his number one :o hit Grandad was 41 years ago.

RIP Clive.
On 13/2/2013, Hull City's owners the Allams, released a statement in their position as the owners of the KC Stadium Management Committee. One line in this statement read as follows....

"The SMC's principal responsibility is to remain neutral"

RIP Bill Tarney - Jack Duckworth to most
Now then, it's a race between Sandie....and Fairburn....and the little man is in........yeees he's in.

I, just like those Castleford supporters felt that the ball should have gone to David Plange but he put the bit betwen his teeth...and it was a try

Kevin Ward - best player I have ever seen

The real Mick Gledhill is what you see on here, a Bradford fan ........, but deep down knows that Bradford are just not good enough to challenge the likes of Leeds & St Helens.

Always a good trivia question about the connection between 'Grandad' and 'Walk on the wild side'

Jack and Vera were a brilliant double act on Corrie. It's always said, with some justification that Lankies are funnier than Yorkies, you only have to look at the distiguished list of great Lancashire commedians, from Frank Randall through Les Dawson to Peter Kay. But there's no question that Leeds born Vera (Liz Dawn) was the funny one in this relationship. Having said that Jack was a brilliant foil for her. RIP

A friend of mine worked on corrie. I asked him what the cast were like in real life, of Liz Dawn he said "imagine Vera Duckworth's retarded twin sister"

And when they found our shadows
Grouped around the TV sets
They ran down every lead
They repeated every test
They checked out all the data on their lists
And then the alien anthropologists
Admitted they were still perplexed
But on eliminating every other reason
For our sad demise
They logged the only explanation left
This species has amused itself to death
No tears to cry no feelings left
This species has amused itself to death

Boxing great Hector Camacho got murdered last weekend. Apparently, most of his money had gone.I was extremely disappointed with today's obituary in the Times ... it didn't do him anything like justice.

On Friday, I went to a sporting dinner at Elland Road.
Roberto Duran was guest of honour. I suspect he might have a similar latino-fighters' story. After all the millions he must have made, now he's trying to flog framed signed photos for £200. He never even had the foresight to learn to speak English ready for his post-fighting years.
:(

PS: Jordan James was there as well.
