A really good player for us and we'll miss him. A major player in the 2011 Championship 1 winning year.
Thanks Lee!

Gutted, Lee was one of my favourite players and a great captain. He was always committed to the cause and never gave a step backwards.
Good luck in your retirement Lee and keep in touch with the Lions.

One of my favourite forwards, going back to his time with Leigh. His signing was specifically targetted by Ian Watson because of his work ethic, in order to help instil a higher level of professionalism at the Lions. He played a very important role indeed in transforming the side from perrenial strugglers towards the foot of Championship One into league winners, lifting the first silverware in many years and laying the foundations for this season.
He came close to retiring at the end of last season, I guess the lack of first team appearances that have come his way this year has been difficult to stomach.
Good luck to Lee Wingfield for the future, I've heard his son is already looking sure to add to the legion of Wingfields to be excellent RL players.

Rugby League - great game, shame about the administration.

Always thought it was a great shame that two very popular players at our club were never given the send off they deserved when they retired.Marlon Billy and Martin Moana both ended their playing careers with us and yet didnt seem to receive any official recognition from the club or us fans for that matter.
