Come, come now PD, we have a large chunk of the season to go and if we get the defeatist attitude after one bad spell it'll make it a long hard season.
We have to give Stanky and the boys all our support and trust them to bring us to the 'promised land' of the Championship.
Chin up!

We could take some remedial action and strengthen to ensure we get out of this division
Speculate to accumulate

If any one can do it Puggy then Stanky can. Just ruminating out loud.
I actually think that Gloucester could prove a success, as I think Hemel Stags will, as far as expansionism goes. I just hope the RFL maintains a level playing field (some hope).

I'd rather have a viable club with a team in the C1 than spend too much and go bust.

The problem with trying to live within your means is that on crowds of 300 those means are ridiculously limited - and nobody else is doing it.
Finishing in the top four and balancing the books will be a miraculous achievement.
Messrs HMRC could still have a massive effect on who plays in the Championship this season as i suspect quite a few "budgets" only work if the clubs take the time honoured route of not paying all their taxes.
Hopefully we are not one of them.

Im not suggesting that the club goes bananas on the spending front but surely we could look to bring in a few bodies to improve the team and make sure we go up in the hope that in the long term playing teams like Leigh and Halifax as opposed to Hemel Hempstead and Gateshead will bring its rewards financially on the gates front.
Being a realist I would say that if we dont go up it will be very difficult to survive in C1 anyway based on the teams that will be in it

Even moreso if, as in the original plans there is no promotion/relegation to or from Championship for two years
