There's nothing harsh in identifying a match against a team around about the same level in the league, a fellow promoted side from last season, as being a massive game!!

We have seen enough evidence in the last 2 weeks to conclude that the Lions have the measure of York and Hunslet. Win against Keighley and it opens up the very real possibility of taking 15 points from a possible 18, with Halifax, York and Hunslet to follow.

Were it to happen, such a run would lodge the Lions right in amongst the play off positions.

Barnie is spot on! Its not going to be an easy assignment to win on Thursday night, particularly with Keighley having had a weekend's rest, but its far from impossible.
Rugby League - great game, shame about the administration.

We could really push on over these next few weeks, but I think we can do it without too much pressure on our shoulders. Everytime we win we seem to surprise opposition fans, mainly through lack of respect for us from what I've heard.

We just need to keep improving and if we can keep picking up these results we can push towards the top 6 places.

I also think the match on Thursday will be very difficult - Keightly look really strong this year and it is always difficult getting a win there - for me I think I have only seen Swinton win at Keightly maybe 4 or 5 times in 40 years ..................

My 'harsh' comment was only a joke!! I agree with you too. We are playing so well at the moment that anything is a possibility. It's been a great season up to now, especially as we've played so well even when we've lost !!
Can't wait for Thursday...got my wine and crisps ready!
I think we could cause another upset!!

I think itll be a good yard stick of where we are at. Keighley are a good team. As for a defining moment in our season I disagree. It appears anyone can beat anyone so who knows what will happen.

I dont think it will be a massive game, it will definitely be an interesting game, personally I believe if we beat York and Hunslet come the end of the season it will be a massive success, they have had time to establish themselves in the league and we will have come straight in and overtook them. Plus provided Steve Mac stays on as coach we will only build on this next year. I think Keighley clearly have more resources than us, but im not going to lie I would love to beat them, dislike them with a passion.

P.s its a shame we lost those games to dewsbury and york this year (games which, in my view, we could have, should have won), as we would be 2nd in the league, and this really would be a massive game!!!

Don't be so sure of getting 3pts when you visit us at Huntington Stadium,we are starting to get the players back since the start of the
season who have been not available, you just managed to squeak ahead at your place in the final Qtr of the game,we are not going
lay down and let you get away this time.

I don't think the last quarter cost you the game, you were second best in every respect.

According to the Hunslet programme York scored 3 2nd half tries to our 1, so it depends what you read really!

We were the best team from minute 1-80, and we know we can play better than that.

We are never going to get credit off any fans fron other clubs this season. unless we roll over and let them tickle our bellies. lets face it every team we've played we've heard the same excuses. Its not our strongest team or we've got players out. makes me laugh. Its never a fact that we are a good side.

makes me laugh how bad ppl think we are.
Dont worry, it will soon be Christmas!

Hope you bring plenty to Cougar park.Looking forward to a great game by two evenly matched teams.
You have great speed in your team,we have a solid defence
As we have home advantage i feel we will just have enough to pip you (Cougars by 8)

Should be a good game, really looking forward to it. We rarely seem to get any luck at cougar park, we must be due something up there. I think Steve Mac now knows our first team pretty much, so lets hope our confident rugby carries on.
