Predictions for the future -
Crusaders RL to get a franchise for 2012 onwards -WRONG
Widnes Vikings also to get a franchise - RIGHT
Crusaders RL to do the double over Widnes and finish five places ahead of them -WRONG
Widnes Vikings NOT to dominate rugby league in years to come! STILL TO COME

I promise to pay 10 to the charity of Bomb Jacks choice if Widnes Millionaires finish above the battling underdogs Crusaders RL. I OWE A TENNER!

What's a "triple"?

Never heard of this term before either in RL or any American sport.

In baseball it's getting to third base on a hit.

Single, double, triple, home run ...
Cheer up, RL is actually rather good

Thanks. I had presumed it to mean scoring a drop goal, conversion and try in one match.

This bit for me.

The USARL wants to make the game national and spread the game to the youth of america so that we can have an impact like American Gridiron has now. The kids need to learn it early here or there are too many options with other sports for them as they get older. There is all kinds of potential for our game and Rugby is the 3rd fastest growing sport in the USA right now behind lacrosse and soccer. With the speed and collisions in league, it is just a matter of time until the USA embrace the game. League is so similar to Gridiron and people just cannot understand union with all the kicking. It confuses them and they lose interest quickly so that is where we have an advantage. The USA likes big hits and lots of scoring, that is why I think if we can tap into the TV market like Canada has, we can beat Rugby Union to the punch and be the brand that everyone will want to play here and especially watch.
