It was a recreation for an episode of Cimewatch, apparently someone knicked Rugby League and flogged it to some dodgy Australian like the guys who used to flog Tower Bridge.

Anybody want to buy Tower Bridge, going cheap????

The film crew are from Channel 4. They are doing a documentary about gateshead Thunder and are following them around a bit like the old "Another bloody Sunday" that was done for Doncaster when they had a long run of defeats. They were Workington last week and had a bit of a laugh with our young lads in the shed. I think it is being screened in September.
I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

Actually it is Tiger Productions that have been filming Hornets for the last couple of months! They were again present at the training session tonight.
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of......
