Cant wait for game 1!

Its hard to see past Queensland tbh, their team is just phenomenal, even with the loss of Lockyer they just look too strong.

I have no affiliation with either state but I would love to see a NSW win first up as they then get two cracks at winning the series, and as the underdogs that would be great to watch.

So Ill be a blue for this series!

Looking at the squads it's hard to call. Depends how they gel together as teams in this first game.
I can see QLD feeling more at home in Melbourne so ...
What a showcase of talent.

I'll go for QLD by 4 points!

I don't think it's playing in Melbourne. More the QLD side are comfortable in themselves

Where as the roaches have an overload of prima donna's & headless chooks

I won't try to identify the QLD player in your image above for fear of causing gross offence to him! :D

 I don't think it depicts an individual.I think it's a statement on the Maroon's team psyche

This one's a tad more 'bi partisan' IE: For the neutrals Posted Image

As a neutral, I'll be hoping for a Blues win, to really light a fire under this year's series.

"Perhaps it would be better that future criticism of sports be made on the narrow basis of what is being discussed, without reference to other sports, unless those sports offer a solution to the problem in hand." - Brian 'Pigface' Moore

"What happens in rugby union? A player takes the ball, moves forward a little and gets tackled. A whole load of players then roll about on the ground. Pheep! The referee gives a penalty." - Simon Barnes

Agreed, would really put the pressure on Queensland for the rest of the series. NSW have a team that could definitely beat them, but that could also fall apart too!! Hayne and Jennings, whilst really not setting the NRL alight have the potential to be gamebreakers and its hard to really work out how well NSW will go, given the club form of some of those picks.

I cant wait for it!

Refs 18 NSW 10

One or two decisions that will be talked about for a long time.
The maroons looked out on their feet with a quarter of an hour to go.
With the Greg Inglis try my first instinct from the general camera view was straight-forward try.
The next view on replay made me think he'd knocked on.
Then on reoeated replays I saw the foot dislodge the ball.
One of those 'waiting for the call on the screen' moments. I thought it was a try but expected it to be a no-try as there seemed to be so many awkward elements to it.

Totaly agree RLW
You've got to get your first tackle in early, even if its late.
