Apparently almost 50k tickets have been snapped up. Hopefully they'll be close to opening the top tier on at least one of the days.

Also, noticed that Stobart will be hosting their Stobart Fest at the ground over that weekend.

I'm looking forward to this now, travelling down for the one day, Saturday. The Etihad Stadium is a great venue, with plenty of space outside for the Fanzone, so hopefully it'll take off.

Superleague truck-spotters who use the Stobart Fest to complete their set - you're cheating nobody but yourselves.

Cool, really looking forward to this, don't get to many live matches these days so it's great to have 7 in a weekend.
(well actaully 6 'cos of train times back to Glasgow on a Sunday...)

My 4 x tickets around for both days this morning. I might not make the Sat though due to running the Yorkshire 3 peaks in prep for an ultramarathon I'm doing in Jun. Might try and squeeze the last game if I am still alive. I'll definitely be there on the Sun though.

Started seeing a few more posters around Manchester in the last few days - quite a few as I go round the City Centre and have seen a couple on the inside of the buses I get on. Would have liked to have seen them a bit earlier, but better than nothing certainly.

Awesome. I would expect a good level of sales next week too, although more may be sent back to the RFL out of the allocations that each club have been sent.Unreserved tickets virtually sold out, several blocks on middle tier sold out too.
Stobart Fest apparently had 6.5k visitors last year, so hopefully the outside will be bustling and some of them will be attracted to the RL as well. Is this where we may start to see some real tangible benefits from the sponsorship?

Looks like the press releases and details for the weekend are stepping up.

I thought the Magic weekend might peter out and gradually die when it was moved from Cardiff to Manchester. I am delighted to bne wrong.

Got mine today. Can only make the Saturday, but really looking forward to it. Glad that Stobart fest is there too, If we have sold 50k as is rumoured, it may be that we've found the right location for it.

The capacity is 47726 WELL DONE the RFL they have now sold 2000+ more than the actually capacity of the stadium:)Spin spin and more spin i presume thats 50000 over 2 days = 25000 a day = 22000+ of empty seats less what,s sold this week maybe another 10000 max so 30000 average over 2 days total 60000 less those going to both days (Maybe 10% max) Work it out for yourselfCMApparently almost 50k tickets have been snapped up. Hopefully they'll be close to opening the top tier on at least one of the days.

"less those going to both days"
so if the same 47726, bought a two day ticket, then the overall weekend attendance would 47726?

This is going to be one of those occasions when Canetman accuses the RFL marketing team of having failed to do their job, and then accuses anyone posting any positive news about the event of having swallowed the RL marketing spin, isn't it?
Astute analysis from a Wigan fan:
Rumour going around Headingley that Wire will have to play the second half with 12 men.
It seems that they forgot to bring the half time oranges, and Solomona ate Chris Bridge instead.
Don't know why he was hungry, as he looked as though he had eaten the whole youth team before the game started.
