[Hornets Nest]

The Labour MP for Leigh Andy Burnham has started an on-line petition to bring back promotion and relegation between the Championship and Super League.

He has also wrote a letter to the RFL highlighting the grave concerns that we all have about the game outside SL.

Please sign it. Anything is worth a try. Perhaps people power is going to be the only way to return the game to the clubs and their supporters.

He should have been at the mauling in the previous round, which had nothing to do with licensing - chooses his games doesn't he - waits for the high profile ones.

He should know that the structure of the organisation is determined by the club chairmen (and women) and that Turkey's do not vote for Christmas.

If there is one group of folks Id trust less with organising the game than the club chairmen and Red Hall its a bunch of politicians. Stick to screwing up the country, we are in good hands when it comes to screwing up the game.
