If true will it mean more game time for Flanaghan? Or has another hooker been signed? Might not be true cause nothing on Rams site.

So what you're saying is that it's an unsubstantiated rumour?

Thanks for sharing this with us.

I was pleased when Cook signed for us and thought it would be a good addition to the squad. But he's been injured and now with Liam Hood, Luke Blake and George Flanagan vying for two places and IMO better than Cook then if this is true it is no surprise.

Players want to play and they will move on if they don't get the chance. Not sure why this would be the start of the exodus. But a good conspiracy theory always beats a simple answer.

There would be no need for the conspiracy theories if the club kept interested parties, mainly the users of this forum informed
A regular bulletin from the club would be appreciated, I`m not saying they should tell all the secrets, but keep us up to speed with what`s going on with the playing staff
not a lot to ask really, when without the loyal support, there would be no club
When I want your opinion, I will remove the gaffer tape

I agree entirely STR. As a distinctly interested party I am very disappointed by the degree of communication from the club nowadays - the only time i ever hear anything is when they are trying to flog something or need a signature on a petition.

It saddens me to say so but we could learn a great deal from our friends across the valley.

It even reminds me of the Crown Flatt "What's it got to do with you?" mentality that we all believed was well behind us.

Agree the club should post news on the website, my point was more around Cook leaving does not equal an exodus

I enjoy keeping up to date with all rugby. It seems very likely this no news policy has come from the clubs saviour and backer as gfdu has not posted anything for over a month. I will have a word with an aquaintance of mine and see if she can post daily update news on an alternative site. John North used to have a clue what was going on but even he now only posts opinions.

I think that you will find that GFDU's absence is entirely due to the increasingly hectic horse racing business at this time of year and the far-flung courses that he is obliged to attend.

I see no sinister implications nor conspiracies at work, it's just a bit slack and thoughtless IMHO

BSJ has hit the nail on the head i am just too busy at the moment , its pure chance im reading this at the moment .

i know nothing about the craig cook situation as i knew nothing about liam hood or brad singleton until after it had happened . i am happy to pass information on as and when but i have little time to do so .

As for the chairman he is in the same boat as me and has to leave much of the running of the club to others at this time of year and relies on the telephone to keep in touch .

conspiracy ? lol.

It seems the RFL fund a CEO at some clubs or all clubs. Oldham and Batley for instance. Do the Rams have such a person and if so who is he? Perhaps if we could find out we could ask him to update the rugby fans, or delegate an underling to perform this meaningful task.

Who does the RFL fund at Batley Doc?

It's the first that I've heard of this situation if it's correct.

Mr Harrison, who was stadium manager is now chief exec. Mr Hamilton chairman at Oldham and possibly only director is also chief exec. Surely someone must know if Dewsbury have a chief executive and more than one director. I don't, only asking.

So, are you saying that Mr Harrison's salary is paid by the RFL?

If so then this must be a trick that we're missing.

Maybe something really radical like a few words in the matchday programme. Even accepting that both the Chairman and the coach are busy chaps they both pen a few words for their "column"?? They are writing them anyway so why not a few sentences on whos left, whos coming in and maybe, just maybe, a few words of explanation (naah, I know thats asking too much)
Perhaps Mr Scargill (whom I'm sure knows some of the snippets) could be persuaded to do a "news" column? If the club tell me whats going on I would even do it.

Why is it when someone starts a topic the topic always seems to end up taking a slight tangent or going off the subject altogether I heard Cookie has moved back to east hull if he wasn't enjoying his rugby or getting fed up with something at the club surely its better he leaves and be happy rather than stay plus its not as though there isn't plenty of cover for the hooking position
