Had my first experience of magic weekend on saturday and thoroghly enjoyed it.With 14 teams in the Championship next season could a sinilar concept be viable for us at a smaller venue?

I think that would be great... Halton Stadium? Halliwell Jones? Headingley? Langtree Park?

So long as they don't dream up another 9-a-side competition like the last incarnation - that was just a bizarre thing to do.
Rugby League - great game, shame about the administration.

yeah I agree with the idea, maybe first year have it at Spotland nice little stadium so if does not take off it wont look like cardiff and look like no one is there.

If there was to be a Championship version then I think it would be a must to be a ground where you can walk all the way around - that was an aspect I really enjoyed yesterday as it meant we could sit in the sun for a bit and sit with other sets of fans etc. Bumped in to Spelly on the concourse at half-time in the Cas-Wakefield game, what an absolute legend!

Think the venue would have to be Blackpool with the various other attractions that the resort has to offer. This would entice families and encourage fans to attend for a full weekend.Maybe some kind of deal could be struck with hotels and attractions to encourage fans to attend.

Have to agree that Blackpool would be the best option, but I can't see that as the Northern Rail cup final is there.
Even the LSV would be a good option.

Just hope they keep the MW at the Ethiad, first time I've been and thought it was fantastic.Great atmosphere and so much going on outside the stadium with bands, and other attractions.

Don't know if it is still the case (though I suspect it is) but the BARLA National Cup Finals were moved from Bloomfield Road because there weren't enough changing rooms to cater for more than one game on the same day.Have to agree that Blackpool would be the best option, but I can't see that as the Northern Rail cup final is there.
