TACKLING & FITNESS

Lack of both of these cost us the game today, until we resolve these two key areas for 80mins we won't win a game in this league.

Positive was the first 20mins, some great rugby, just like last week at Fev.

Difference in the sides was obvious, class in key positions when they felt like playing and when JD came on he changed the game completely.

Long tough season for us guys I fear.

Well done to both sets of players today, not sure on temperature but too hot for rugby.

Andy

Really sad to hear so many long term committed supporters question whether they will get a season ticket next year or not. I cannot believe that we can score 18 points and play some good rugby, and then nothing ?

Yes, to lose a game when you have been 18-0 up usually warrants some form of inquest but to then not even gain a bonus point is a kick in the teeth for loyal fans.

It was good to see the initial burst of attacking rugby which took the Cougars by surprise but once they cut out their early errors the writing was quickly on the wall. Very disappointing to say the least.

Really poor to go up 18 - 0 then end up losing as heavily as we have done.

We need a couple of playmakers a.s.a.p as we have done for the last season and a half, the players are unfit, why do we need Norman Collier to tell us whos playing, then we had the gardener come out at half time, thought we were growing spuds, <_< the whole afternoon was an embarressment.

Today was disappointingly normal.
Do we have a game next week? none of the fixture lists say we have but i'm sure i heard about Leigh at home next Sunday on Radio York after yesterday's match.
I may of been hearing things but can someone clarify one way or another.

Cheers!

Thought I heard Andyacko say our next match was at home to Leigh, just hope we get fit and get either a couple of players back or we sign some before then.

Next home game is on the 10th June, and I've got down Swinton?,how ever back to Keighley game we are still fielding a below par squad
of players, and I for one think that our luck is out,the bounce of the ball, poor handling, not completeing sets, letting ball release in tackles, and yes
having officials that are capable of getting the right calls, get all of them right and we might be on track for a resounding win, where at the half way
house of the season and we need to start getting the points for rolling on.

Yes apologies to all. I can only blame the heat. Checked midweek in my diary as I wrote my notes and took the game after Keighley - sadly, though, the Keighley away game !!
Slightly disappointing anyway that there is no game next week but we could do with at least some of the walking wounded back. If you looked at their bench and ours, and this is not to demean the Knights lads on the bench, the difference in experience was massive and the game changed with the introduction of JD, Korky and Rawlins.
Both ourselves and Hunslet are clattered to death with injuries with probably the two squads that could least afford such.

Spot on Andy.
Both York and Hunslet put together might get a team to compete in this league, injuries are just crippling us too. Yes we both don't have much money to spend to get us out of the injury problems.
Glad no match for us next week because of this. Only good thing no relegation this year, so that's the main thing.

Aye, gutted with the 2nd half, but injuries, inexperience etc tolled massively.

That first 20 minutes was cracking though, best I've seen this year and it was only the bounce of the ball and a couple of dodgy calls that turned the flow of the game.

A week off will be good for everyone, fans included. I have a feeling we'll have Pricey back for the next game. Davies might be back then too, shame Johnston's got a break
