....but let us hope that Stanky can get the players to respond to the (now harder) challenge of promotion. Now we have London, South Wales and Crusaders on our tails with a game in hand. As we falter, those teams improve and as we and our neighbours found out, none is a gimmee.
Those teams promoted will have time to consolidate (will it be 1 or 2 seasons without promotion or relegation from 2013?) making it harder still to make the jump in level in subsequent seasons. If the new clubs coming in next season respond to the opportunity they have been given it could prove a very competitive division, particularly in the season when promotion beckons. They are in areas where financial backing may be easier to come by with wider calls on players. The next two matches are crucial if the rest are to become crucial too. I suspect we shall need to win the majority of the remaining games without handing bonus points to those we need to overtake.

Any of you guys know the forecast for your area on Sunday? Coming down for what should be a good game. we always struggle at your place and I'm hoping we can rectify that this year.

As far as I know glemlin promotion/relegation for 2013 season has not been suspended, there will be a team/s promoted next year, so I suppose if the worst came to the worst we'll just have to wait till then.

Nah, all we have to do is stuff Town, Barrow, 'Haven, London and the rest and we'll be promoted.

A crucial game on Sunday, I've no doubts that Town have have spent well and have a strong team and will be hard to beat.
I've also no doubts that Stanky can put a team together out of the quality talent that we have and that we can not only win but win with style. Each player just has to play his part, give 100% and play the way Stanky tells 'em to.
We can play our part on Sunday too. Remember the noise we made at the back end of last season? A wall of chants against Oldham in the playoffs, out shouting the Swinton fans at the Willows. You can see it lifts the lads, it lifts their game and makes them want to give 110% instead of 100%, they need it and it's our job. Despite being knackered we took the game with a try in the last two mins, and I think the noise we made played a big part in spurring them on to win.
Lets make every effort to get down there this Sunday, drag as many friends and family down (even if it's the only game they go to this season) and above all make some noise. This is the big one.
C'mon Hornets!!!!
