That argument is often made by RL fans but the other argument is that most teams don't bring supporters with them and the game needs to make a profit from the World Cup.

True but the World Cup is supposed to finance development work, or at least it ought to.

Is there any website about the financial balance-sheets of the former World Cups?

No, the last one is still a mystery. It was supposed to have made money but what happened to the money is a big question.

I thought that information was given in the RLIF report? I remember Druzik posting it on here.

Scotland are in the World Cup
Medway Dragons Wheelchair RL player. Leeds Rhinos, St Albans Centurions and North Hertfordshire Crusaders fan. Also follow (to a lesser extent) Catalans Dragons, London Broncos, South Sydney Rabbitohs, Jacksonville Axemen, Vrchlabi Mad Squirrels, København Black Swans and Featherstone Rovers

In order to popularise RL, the World Cup should be expanded.

How did thje 16 team world cup popularise RL?
World cup expanded or not will not popularise RL, making RL matches more appealing to the genral public will do that.
