Mr Karl Harrison states that there is a lot of animosity between the two clubs. Mr Harrison adds that before the game and during it Mr Reittie was subject to verbal abuse from the crowd and from the opposition players. Mr Harrison states that the club have disciplined Mr Reittie internally and that they do not condone this type of behaviour. However Mr Harrison believes that the high level of provocation should be taken into account when considering the appropriate penalty.

Apparently Mr Rettie and the recipient of his forehead, Mr Moore went for tea together after the game as their better halves are great friends.
In light of this i'd say Mr Harrison either isnt aware of this, or is stirring the pot a little.
Clearly all it takes to settle the 'animosity' is a chicken bhuna and the love of a good woman.
What we're dealing with here is a complete lack of respect for the law

Animosity toward Halifax!!!
How could this be?
Why would any club have animosity to such a welcoming and well run club?
There was silly me thinking only Featherstone harboured grudges against Halifax - and now I find its Batley too!
I need some enlightenment - can anyone tell me if there are more?

You can't blame Karl for trying. I'm sure that many coaches would have said something along the same lines to try shorten a ban.

Nice try Harrison. However, if a player can't handle a bit of cat-calling and a few boos without committing an act of violence that would have possible seen him charged with ABH had he done the same outside a public house on a Saturday night, then he shouldn't be on a rugby field.
What I'm looking for is someone who can contribute to what England has given to the world: culture, sophistication, genius. A little bit more than an 'ot dog, know what I mean?

Mr Karl Harrison states that there is a lot of animosity between the two clubs,
and he realises the animosity was created mainly by himself.....apologies.....to all.....
I agree.

Ahh! I see! Very fair on any other clubs who currently have players suspended and aren't playing in this meaningless competition.

Your club should have taken up Halifax's offer and your club would have been playing in the meaningless competition.Ahh! I see! Very fair on any other clubs who currently have players suspended and aren't playing in this meaningless competition.

the only good thing about this meaningless competition, is that it negates a players suspension....
How do you work that out? Ashall desperately wanted to play in the International Extravaganza! lol
