Its halfway through the season, and next weekend four English teams will play four french Teams. I want us to be one of those teams one day, so all the knights fans can have a weekend away watching the Knights, having a good time and supporting the best team in the Championships bar none.

I know a lot of people put a lot of effort in to the club, often unseen. But if we want a team that's nearer the top than the bottom, we all( from JG, CT and the lads, right down to you and me on the terraces) need to dig deep and go the extra mile. We need to watch the lads even when things are not going so well, shout that bit louder, and keeps the lads heads up with encouragement

Because whats the alternative, stay at home till the club folds through lack of support and funds, and the last ten years are for nothing.

I will admit that I have been in the doom and gloom camp, but I for one will try my utmost for this club. I hope that a few more are encouraged to do the same.

The supporters club are one of those you mentioned, working tirelessly to raise funds for the club.
Since the knights were formed we have raised tens of thousands of pounds which has gone to squadbuilder etc.
We hold functions that suit 99% of people, from race nights, BBQs , Themed Disco Nights, Cabaret nights, Party fun nights, Trips to Wembley, Dog racing ect, and with not sounding gratefull to those who do attend, its always the same people.
We have tried different ways to increase attendances at these functions, more people attend, more funds for squadbuilder = better standard of players.
So why dont people attend???
In todays game its not just about turning up on a game day at kick off, then going home at full time, clubs like ours cannot run like that, there needs to be more from the fans.
If 20% of fans came to our events we could raise a vast amount.
Yes we all have a moan about this and that on match days, well heres one way each and everyone of you could help.
Just ask someone who has attended one of our functions and Im sure they would tell you what a great time they had and most still attend to this day, and to those who do, we would just like you to hold your heads high and say to yourself, we do our bit for he great club we know as the YORK CITY KNIGHTS.

I do hope I have not offended anyone, as I know a lot of other people put in hard work for the club too.

Would love to come to some events Ian , but living in Barlby it's a bit of a drive , would mean no drinks or a £25 / £35 taxi ride if I left the car , I know my dad (Peter MOULTON aka Ashbourne knight ) goes to some & always says they are a great night , but that's the reason I can't make them
LOVE THE KNIGHTS , LIVE THE KNIGHTS
