In the Leigh programme,Mark Sawyer said he will be looking at cementing our championship status for 2013 in the next few weeks. Will he know now if he has the next right man in charge or looking somewhere else? Which players will we want to keep on for 2013? I think doing this now is the right thing to do,if we leave it after the season,we could get left behind. If we get relegated next year,it would be hard to to keep going with the teams left in that league.

Yeah I know what you are saying, but unless he is definitely keeping WJ on (and I think he will), there is no point in talking to players - one coaches thoroughbred is another coaches donkey. I can't help but feel the better players will take up more lucrative offers next season anyway, regardless of whom the coach is - depressingly I think if it's WJ we could have another close season scratching round for quality players and second rate loanees. In the Leigh programme,Mark Sawyer said he will be looking at cementing our championship status for 2013 in the next few weeks. Will he know now if he has the next right man in charge or looking somewhere else? What does "cementing our championship status for 2013" actually entail.
I thought we were already guaranteed this.

Yes you are right about still been in the championship for 2013,think Mr Sawyer wants to have a team that can be in the top half of the table,so not to worry about the bottom two or three in the table.

I was also struck by MS's comments which, to me, appeared to be quite pointed. I believe that the proces is probably already under way to identify who is best placed to take the team forward from 2013 and onwards.
Obviously WJ will be in contention but I would expect there to be others depending upon availability and inclination.
Barry Eaton will probably be getting fed up at Hunslet by now, but then again he hasn't achieved that much whilst there has he?
Jason Demetriou is doing well at Keighley but would we be a step up for him/could we afford him/could we afford his players?
I believe that Ryan Sheridan is a major part of the achievements at Featherstone and wonder whether he is ready to coach as his own man.
Andrew Henderson talks a good job on radio - is he now ready for a player-coaching role?
Mark Sawyer and colleagues face a tricky task as always.
Believe what you see, don't see what you believe.

MS has intimated in the reporter that we could be looking for players in july - that makes me think that WJ has been given the nod already. I could be wrong of course, but I have a feeling - hope it's just wind
