Its like putting a Harrods in Belle Isle its overpriced for what your getting, its costing clubs to much to compete nowadays, like you say Steve its a working class game and Red Hall are trying to hype it up to much,Super League is a very very poor 2nd to NRL.........

i agree rick, years ago a kid from belle isle , middleton, beeston etc played for his school the best being proud and exited to be selected to play for Hunslet Intermediates or Hunslet Colts then worked their way through the A team and finally the great day when they were selected to play for the 1st team, all the fans used to wait for the next star to roll off the production line - Mc Shane is a classic example years ago he,d have signed for us made his mark and then probably moved on for a decent transfer fee and everyone was happy. Now the kid is shipped out on loan to Widnes and after being touted as the next big thing at Headingley and his career is going rapidly downhill. All we have to look forward today is the hope that some SL club might have somehow missed out on an up n coming young amatuer player that hasnt been snapped up and work along them lines - Gareth Davies for example.Even the old tried and trusted bring a few kiwis/aussies across seems to have ended due to visa regulations, personally id tap the Union market its worked in the past, surely their must be a few Peter Muscrofts, Mick Parrish and Chris Hall,s playing around that fancy a crack at league.

What has happened to local club scouts searching for new talent in the area. Are clubs too busy now to send out officials in search of the next billy whiz ect and get them in the shop window at championship clubs or are they just too lazy to make the effort.

When they put together the super league, super league teams like Bradford thought every RL fan would drop the small teams they support and go follow them, but hey guess what we all said fck you...

Plus the excitement has gone, those in the super league must know fans will get fed up of seeing the same teams year in, year out, no new grounds to visit, no fight against the drop, how boaring, in truth were seeing it in our league this season, how boaring allready is this season..????

I say tuth ###### on Bradford, they voted for no relegation, near killing the game, so as far as I am concerned they can go bust, night make them idiots who run our game wake up and smell the coffee.

I agree to all the posts ere,the guys up at Red Hall probally know that things ar'nt going well but there like MP's they won't admit when they've fck u9,and make a mess of it trying to put it right,to know avail..........Bradford won't be the last either to suffer and all the work that Fev are doing i just hope Red Hall don't pull the rug from under them, because they've done more than enough...........

I thought Bradford raised 1/2 million to see them right for that month, then they needed another 1/2 mill to secure rest of season ?. Its a whopping great jump from 1/2 mill to 1.25 mill. Looks like they'll be off-loading there players like Wakefield had to and start again with young players. Hunslet wont get the higher quality players because its as previously said, theres no pride in playing, its all about who will pay the most money!!
