Can't imagine they'd have struggled in division 1 even so. Nevison Leap are definitely a club on the rise.
Bowes do you remember me and a few other say about teams that start at the bottom and once they move up and start losing disappear

Me as well, without trying I can name 4 teams that have revolved around the same spine of players in that area.Especially around that neck of the woods. Seems to happen alot around Cas and Ponte. Believe me, I should know!

Fair point. Does seem odd there's so many short lived clubs and one team clubs. Possibly the same mentality why there was on the one hand so much opposition to summer from the NCL clubs with heel dragging over reserves but on the other hand so many random summer clubs popping up and the land remnants of the Yorkshire League are exclusively from there. Except to a limited degree in Widnes there's a completely different mentality west of the Pennines. Places like Leeds don't seem the same either. Probably why the Yorkshire League ditched P and R but NWCL and Pennine kept it.Bowes do you remember me and a few other say about teams that start at the bottom and once they move up and start losing disappear

This still happens sometimes but you don't get the likes of Townville and Fryston popping up with really strong teams for a few seasons then folding in the same way.In what way do you believe Leeds is different?

so how have these teams been accepted into the pennine league? thought the league constitution was that all new applicants were to be voted in by a majority of existing members. or have the committee riden roughshod over that rule again a la queens? or are we saying that these teams applications have been accepted to be voted on at the AGM?
