If WJ does get an extention on his contract it doesn't say much for the Dewsbury Rams board on their ambition for the club going forward in terms of league position or how it may reflect on the squad
I can't recall seeing anything on this forum for the short time I have been able to read it to praise Warren Jowitt on either his coaching methods or motivational skills all I have seen is poor publicity he wouldn't even let his squad eat after playing Sheffield what way is that to treat your players or show respect to the club you have just played against, sulking because he lost with the team he picked can't carry on its not professional

If he does get a new contract there will be many people that won't turn up to the games next season. I have supported the club over many years and he is pushing the regular fans to their limits.

I've been attending home and away since 1968 but haven't attended the last 3 games. I won't be going on Sunday either. A cracking squad of players, poor coach, club not prepared to do anything about it. Some of the comments on this site over the last 12 months have been quite amusing to say the least. " If you get rid of WJ, who will replace him?" "We haven't got any money". Does life end here then? Warren has the job for life because there is nobody better available and if there was, he would ask for too much money. Bulls**t! By the way I've just dispensed with one of my employees after 4 years service and he was very good at his job, but just kept causing unrest. You'll be surprised to hear that I've replaced him with one better and for less money. :D

I don't think anyone is saying warren is here for life but say he does leave then who do you replace him with ? For every neil Kelly there is 20 Andy Fishers. Who is out there that we could afford and would come and do a better job than WJ ? There is no point in replacing him with someone worse , as bad as the complaints are, it could be worse look at York.

god help us if there are 20 andy fishers out there
And I seem to remember Neil Kelly was a good coach when there was money to throw at the squad, don`t know how he would fare now

we should try and persuade Ryan Sherridan to return as head coach, who knows he may just fancy a change

I posted a list of potential candidates a week or so back with little response from posters then.

I am concerned that, if this forum is anything to go by, many people appear to be becoming disillusioned with the situation at the club: poor coaching, underperforming team and a complete lack of any indication to bond or communicate with fans. The get-togethers after each home game are all well and good but not everyone can attend these and they aren't exactly fonts of information are they?

If the club continues to appear disinterested in the fans then there can't be any surprise when gates continue to fall.

Not happy!

You are a realist BSJ, so when you hear the club chairman talking about recruiting for next season already, you surely must come to the same conclusion as me - MS already knows who the coach will be (wonder who ?). I also think we can assume that our star players will leave regardless of whom the coach is, because, apart from wanting to better themselves, they will be looking for more lucrative contracts - so it's probably goodbye to Craven.Faal, Crossley, Esders and Flannagan, but not I suspect to one our multiple MOM winning halfbacks. I think the best we can hope for, is that WJ is given a player/ assistant coach who can help sort out his coaching failings, take care of PR between the players and the coaching staff and maybe attract some decent players to the club - there might be a few going if Hetherington carries out his threat to dismantle his current side, and/or the Bulls implode. I'm sure that MS will though, be only too well aware that next season will be do or die for us and all the other championship sides - I'm not sure many will survive the newly constructed CH1.

It's cause for concern when long standing Dewsbury Fans are posting comments like the ones regarding WJ.

The club has a very tough decision to make, but one I feel they have no real options in.

Today's world is completely different to the one a number of years ago, both in business and sport.

Staff numbers are being reduced everywhere, including RL Clubs, so jobs are not plentiful or secure, there are many people out there who will want a job.

Look at Bradford, there may be backroom staff there who are wanting alternative positions, and I feel pretty sure that many other people at SL and Championship Clubs will be interested if Dewsbury made it known they were looking.

MS has a few tough weeks ahead.

Just a reminder that all season tickets holders of other sides can come to Featherstone Rovers home games at a reduced rate if you show your card. This applies to Dewsbury Rams supporters for the game this weekend. Entrance for Adults is £10 (rather than £15) and Concessions £6 (rather than £9). Hopefully see plenty of you here on Sunday!!

Money buys better players. Yes we have some good players but we are still below par at half back, this is not to criticise WAlker and Spaven who give their all. But the simple fact is most opposing half backs are better. Likewise our bench is not as strong as the top six teams. MS runs a sustainable budget, you can't blame him for that, long term it is the only way.

This season WJ is playing a more settled side which can only be good, has stopped the pointless subbing of players who make a mistake and the team have turned in some very good performances. I dont agree with Andy Smiths selection ahead of Wainwright, I dont understand subbing players within 5 mins of half time, but thats just my opinion. Coachwise is there anybody out there? Sure if we could get a Karl Harrison or John Kear it would make a diffence but Barry Eaton isn't breaking any pots at Hunslet and plenty on this board have suggested him before.

If we finish 7th it will be a pretty good result. If we want to progress we either need to find some generous directors or a lot more fans or find a top coach.MS has to live in the real world and with his decisions, we don't.
