It is on the Haven Fans site that what should be our best attendance of the season Barrow vs Whitehaven is being moved to Thurday 19th July, 19:30 kick off so it can be on Premier Sports.
Can anyone confirm this?
Surely this will cost the club massively in gate receipts and food/beer sales or do we get a pile of money for it being on TV?

It will be great to see you all, but it won't be as many as a Sunday in my opinion.
Just checked the fixture list now and this is b0llocks, Whitehaven play Oldham on the 1st July and then have two weekends off before playing Barrow on the 19th.
Barrow are playing Doncaster on the 15th July and then Whitehaven 4 days later on the 19th, total madness.

Means I wouldnt be able to attend the game as I work away..im sure the majority of both sets of fans wouldnt like this too much and it will affect the attendance.
we should just tell the tv people to #### orf...why disrupt our normal fixtures just so a few hundred people can watch it on the box...like I say #### em off.
come on BOD just say NO

If this is true it scuppers our 'Haven to Barrow' sponsored cycle ride. FFS what are the RFL playing at?

So Haven have an 18 day break while we play two of the top four sides in four days,
Sounds about right for the RFL. This has happened every time we have played a televised game
over the last three seasons, and we wonder why we never perform in these games.
The Redhall Loonies strike again, I'll bet half of them cant even make it to their desks twice in
four days let alone play two games of professional rugby league.

with sky not showing the games this year will premier sports be paying a fee to barrow raiders for this fixture.

If we can we should, totally unbelievable that we are expected to play two games in 5 days against Haven 2 games in 19 days.lets tell the RFL & premier sports to do one
Probably what would have been the best gate of the year in C1 screwed up by the RFL

Is there a contract which says we cannot decline our game being shown on tv? Because if there isn't then we should just decline it.
Havens support will go from around 200 to 50 if we're lucky and we could probably get over 1000 just. We'll lose at least 300 fans if its played on a thursday.

Bottom line do the club get any financial incentive? If so how much does it exceed a Sunday match.
If no please make it Sunday for presumably all fans WHITEHAVEN and BARROW.

I've got mixed feelings on this. There is no way I could make a Thursday night. I do subscribe to Premier sports so I will be able to see the game. As it will save me £70 train fare I will be better off.
I wonder how many supporters do have the Premier sports channel?
Surely there must be a fee to the participating teams, if there isn't then Leigh and Sheffield will be mightily peed off, as one of these teams seems to be on every week.
