For those of us who went up this season to the opening game, you may remember the one minute silence for the former turnstile operator and Town fan,James McKenzie, who died after a tragic car crash.
The case has just been heard in court, with sentencing to come later.
Seems the death of Mr McKenzie was a great loss to Rugby League , and to Workington Town.

Jimmy was a gentleman,i had the honour of calling him a friend.He manned the turnstiles for over 40 years,and was Town through and through.
He would have been chuffed to see Town having such a good start to the season,God Bless You Jimmy.
