Have missed the last few due to work (glad i saved the money) we always just fall outside the automatic promotion and loose in play offs now 4 teams go up we look like finishing 5th again just outside automatic promotion all this can not be managed or could it. seams like Hamilton is happy and our longest serving coach Benson will be there for life following orders like that (just miss out on promotion ) i will soon pull out of lotterys etc and put my money towards petrol to Caslefords predictions for next year northhampton 1st oldham 2nd - year after coventry 1st oldham 2nd (just missed out again OLDHAM FAN 30 YEARS NOT MISSED MANY but now wished Hamelton never got involved as we have gone from bad to worse

So we are intentionally losing games? Is that what you are really saying? We are going out to lose on purpose?
With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

As crazy as it sounds that seems to be exactly what he is saying . Even more ludicrous I know for a fact he is not the only one to think this.

Why don't we go one step further Boro Hornet and agree on the score ...we could make a killing at the Bookies.

When we don't pay a tax bill all we hear is how the club has to play at the level it can afford. Tough, this is our level for now. Deal with it.

I`m sure that winedrinkerme will reply himself, but I`ll put my twopen`orth in anyway.Firstly,it`s his opinion and he`s entitled to it.Two, he`s entitled to take his money elsewhere : that is how he has chosen to ``deal with it``.I suspect, given the fall in attendances under CH and TB especially ,he will not be alone as people ``deal with it`` by just not turning up.Thirdly, people moan re unpaid bills because they are not given any information about them-normally it`s in the Chron (if anywhere):is this the way to manage fans` opinions and expectations and to build up a `backs-against-the-walls` atmosphere ? Lastly,as I`ve said before, both CH and TB have systematically failed to deliver anything other than failure.
Now,for me there`s one of 2 choices :`conspiracy theory` as with wndrinkerme or total incompetence from CH and TB to and of a level that NO business would tolerate.Which choice do YOU make you, bedford roughyed ?

CH can be as incompetent as he wants. It's his business.

The conspiracy theory is so stupid it doesn't even deserve to be called a conspiracy theory.

And yet he wants the town to buy into the community team spirit-'come down and watch-help us out'

That's a problem for a lot of people.

Ain't it funny how you think you're gonna be OK
Till you remember things are never gonna be the same again?
Ain't it crazy how you think you've got your whole life planned
Just to find that it was never ever in your hands?

The club are doing alot for the community, in and around Whitebank and surroundings areas. They have recently bought all the High School Cup Finals back to Oldham for the first time since Watersheddings, which is a a great asset for the club to have, and a great boost for Schools Rugby. The club goes into local schools and offer coaching to kids, and try and get them into the sport. They have been liasing with other companies in engaging the local residents in various schemes etc. So the club is offering 'community' spirit in and around the borough. There are many other examples of this community work, but remember, ORLFC have no extra funding for this, unlike if you are a SL club. It's a shame no one else sees it or refuses to.
But do they get any praise of anyone for doing so? None whatsover. And people wonder why CH doesn't enage with certain sections.

Incidentally, on another note. On GMR it stated that Salford have made redundant their Chief Exec. So, they cannot appoint another? SL rules state that a club must have a Chief Exec, do they not? Breach of the license?

It's Mr Hamiltons' business alright but that business needs paying customers. If you constantly let down your customers you are not going to survive.Conspiracy theory ?Let's just say the coincidences keep happening,If Mr Hamilton had some better luck early on and the club did not end up nomadic things may well be different. However lack of information and what appears to many to be an ever decreasing circle are causing people not to turn up.Mr Hamilton can engage with whoever the hell he likes but he will be down to his 300 or so die hards very soon.
