[Hornets Nest]

With Hornets playing a game at the Kingsway Park Sports arena later this month I wonder if this is the first move in a Spotland exit strategy. Perhaps the new Athletic Grounds in the making?

Is it not the U23s game and they play at various venues even spotland
As for a ground on kingsway would need a large lottery win and the approval of rmbc

I think its a great idea, with 400 seats already installed it wouldnt take much development and its got fantastic accessibility.

Someone must have had a hand in closing the old club and re starting the new one? Thats killing the club look no further.... its not Spotland.

I'm a relative newcomer to Rugby League and the Hornets, but I think that Spotland is one of the best venues outside Super League so I don't think it can be holding the club back. Do Hornets supporters feel that their club has lost its identity somewhat because they have to share the football club's ground? With well over one hundred years history and the fantastic membership/ownership policy, I personally think that Hornets are one of the most unique clubs in Rugby League.

Like Oldham when they lost Watersheddings, Hornets also lost part of it's identity with the sale of the Athletic Ground, but it is what it is and there's no going back. Spotland is our home and I can't see that changing?
