Everyone said at the time, me included that Whitebank would have its problems, but nothing on scale that has happened during our short stay there. The club could of moved there and done nothing, but they haven't.

As someone who has live on Limeside and been a lifetime Oldhma Rugby fan it infuriates me but doesn't sorprise me. The mindless few spoil the lives and reputation of the majority. The Police have a duty and the power to stamp it out and we can only hope and pray that they what they are employed to do. At a time when the club is under a lot of pressure, low fan base, bad results, lots of injuries, the last thing we need is idiots who get their kicks out of torching someone elses property. Love or hate Chris Hamilton my thoughts are with him at the moment. He must feel under attack from every angle at the moment and that includes some of those who call themselves fans. Not sure whose the worst, VANDALS OR BACK BITERS.
well said Tosh, wheres the 'LIKE' button when you need it!!

Sounds hard ,but was always the wrong location, and will always be prone to crime.
Need a small purpose built near a motorway or something
How can CH or the club buid a ground, the crowds are disappearing, the standard of rugby league at best is poor, and from the sounds next season it will be worse, if this carries on I dont think there will be professional rugby league in the town of Oldham.
The Whitebank ground, is partly in green belt land hence why there is a very small seating area, would the ground get past for the upper reaches of RL,
Its a very sad day, but it you dont support it you will lose it

but a slapped wrist from the do gooders and politically correct brigade.
Better to give them hours and hours of monitered community service putting right the damage they have done with them and their parents picking up the cost.
If parents dont apply the discipline and teach them right from wrong they become part of the problem and need educating as well.

Believe me if watersheddings had been down there they would have had a field day.The only sollution is not to have temporary wooden structures and shutters on the windows. If the club cannot afford it ,the club is screwed.
Then its back to the old chestnut of a joint venture between the council, the Latics ,the rugby and an unburnable vandal proof modern facililty to put some pride back into this town.Unless that happens the latics and the rugby are both screwed.
