I am a bit disappointed Wigan aren't going to promote one of their younger lads and buy a pair if halves in. Chase and Smith seem a well balanced pairing but Joe Mellor has looked as good as Smith at times in a useless side.
Good turn out well for the pies and Wigan.
But one of them could turn out to be a Florimo, Clinch or a Moran...

Why does everyone assume that it's a certainty he'll be at Wigan ??
Probably a few twists & turns on this one yet to come

Mr. Mellor will get his chance at another SL side if he is good enough, and add to a number of Wigan products propping up the other SL clubs.
Super league still not working after 17 years as the rich club takes the better players off two of the stoney broke clubs. I'm not having a go at Wigan they are playing within the rules that are supposed to level the game.
But the "victims" of such a deal do not look particularly super....

Interesting viewpoint.
Now then, it's a race between Sandie....and Fairburn....and the little man is in........yeees he's in.
I, just like those Castleford supporters felt that the ball should have gone to David Plange but he put the bit betwen his teeth...and it was a try
Kevin Ward - best player I have ever seen

The real Mick Gledhill is what you see on here, a Bradford fan ........, but deep down knows that Bradford are just not good enough to challenge the likes of Leeds & St Helens.

I'd expect Joe Mellor to get his chance at Wigan rather than Widnes now after Tommy's injury. The lad has been unfortunate having had a severe knee injury two years back when he looked ready for a first team run, hopefully he can now profit from someone else's misfortune and get a chance to show whether he is a viable option for Wigan. There's room at Wigan for good young half backs like Mellor irrespective of any potential signings, it's an area with limited depth and the young hopes at Under 18s (the England pairing of Hampshire and Williams) are still a few years away from first team level.

Wasn't just me who thought he was complete garbage then, didn't he get taken off? It was difficult to tell he was that anonymous, although I did notice that the cock up count was much lower in the last 20 minutes.
He was at it with the elbow again too

then you'll be thinking completely wrong then won't you but if you think he was the worst player out there and anybody else was devoid of criticism then it shows you up for what you really are.
funny how we looked more dangerous when he went to first receiver in the second haf and put Sinfield out wider eh?
Don't tell me....you never noticed as your flat cap had slipped over your eyes

Pretty good kick for Tickle's try. Not a perfect showing by Chase by a long shot, but he did more good than bad things yesterday.
